One week old

Sadie Marie Moss

Born:  Thursday January 3rd, 2013 at 1:12 am 

Weighing 5 lbs 5 oz.  She was so much smaller than our other two were but she is healthy so we are happy!

The kids came to visit three times the day I was in the hospital, they were so excited about the baby and I was glad for the company. 

This is the first time Cole held her.

We got to come home Friday morning, it was so nice to be back. This last week has gone by so fast! I realized this morning that she was a week old already. Everyday brings something new but so far the only really consistant thing is that she naps at the same time as Lucy and Cole. (now that I said that she will probably stop). Today is the first time I haven't napped with them. (I might regret it later but I'm not tired right now)

 Cole is okay with holding her as long as she is happy. As soon as she cries or scrunches up her face he is done and starts pushing her off :) He gets so excited when she is awake, and always asks me where she is if he can't see her. 

 For the first few days Lucy would get really anxious if Sadie cried while she was holding her, and would say, "it's okay, it's okay, it's okay" really fast and get progressively louder and louder and louder. :) I had to tell her that babies cry and we just have to talk to them or sing to them. So now she softly tell Sadie it's okay, and start singing songs to her. She is such a good big sister! 
 

3 days old -- these are newborn size clothes...she drowns in them!

Last night -- I actually got her smile on camera!!! This girl makes the silliest faces and gives us smiles all the time. 
Devin started school again this week after a three week break. It has been weird to not have him home with us and we all miss him. 
But we are adjusting well and figuring out life with this new little one.
