I keep telling myself don't expect anything until April then it will start to get warm and stay warm...but I can't help it! Every time it is 40*
or above we all get SO excited and have to go outside!
Sadie discovered mud.
And yes, she tasted it. And no she did not like it or try to eat it again...that day :)
These are our horseshoe stakes..now they are snow picks and swords.
Lucy's stick sculpture
Cole bringing more sticks to add on.
Check out that happy sharing!
Sun and nature do amazing things for all of us!
Until you go sliding down a hill and muddy up your bum...
then it doesn't feel so amazing...I guess...
buuuut this ones bum was beyond muddied...
So much MUD! Laundry has been a blast, let me tell you :) And so so so So worth it!
Daylight savings...we seriously need to move to Arizona (Geez I would take your 6 months of spring anytime). This time around it has been so much harder on me than on any of the kids. I go to bed at 8:30 and wake up at 4, and can't go back to sleep! Devin suggested I push myself to stay up later so I will sleep in later. Yes, it is working but I'm still ready to sleep by 8:30 :)
Morning cuddles and bird watching. There is a Cardinal couple who live in the trees just outside our bedroom window. Every morning they are there and the kids get to watch them. They are beautiful. I absolutely love Cardinals.
Preschool! We are a small group but it is oh so fun! And Ilana has the best ideas, always!
All of our plants started popping up! I can't tell you how exciting it is to have nothing when you go to bed and all of this the next morning.
And I can't tell you how sad we all are that I've managed to kill all but the herbs and the flowers Lucy planted in Sunbeams....SO sad.
On the sad note...our kids LOVE Ice Age. I'm pretty sure we have Dawn of the Dinosaurs memorized (not the sad note). Cole's favorite is of course Diego (because he is a tiger) and one day asked for me to draw him a Diego....Silly silly mommy drew part of the tree on top of diego! Cole was pretty sad and asked me to draw another. I drew three more and they apparently weren't good enough because my drawings brought him to tears!!! I felt horrible!
It snowed on Devin's birthday...and he had to shovel the drive....
While he may not have enjoyed it we had a blast in the snow!!
Our very own snowman. We hadn't built one at our home this winter (can you believe that?!?!)
His name is Capn' Frosty. He lasted three days!!!
Look who I found sneaking Raisins. tisk tisk :)
That's all folks!
I'm glad that you at least got a chance to get outside and have some fun!
ReplyDeleteYou say that you'd take AZ weather but right now it is pretty awful.
