After five days in Mobile we decided we should head over to South Carolina to see Whitney and Patricks place. We all piled in Whitney's van and headed on our way. Most of the kids slept the first couple of hours. Then we stopped for lunch at a KFC, fun and eventful :) Four kids eating fast food can get a little crazy!!
Then we got in the car to drive for another two hours or so. We made a pit stop at Chick-Fil-A (I don't remember where) because the kids needed a break and a chance to get out or their seats :). I don't blame them. I am not the best road-tripper either.
The Chick-fil-a we stopped at was perfect because it had this steep hill right by the parking lot the kids could run up and down.
Here is the trio at the top! Not sure what they were all looking at but it looks interesting :)
Lucy running down the hill
Here comes Alden!
Cole deciding if he should go head first or not :)
We got shakes and soft serve ice cream -- mmm, mmm, good!
Leigh ate some baby food, but got in on the shake after. Cole seriously ate more of that shake than I did!
Here is Lucy with her ice cream....just a little excited :D
Alden - I don't understand how he wasn't all over the ice cream - played on the hill and in the car most of the time we were eating. That kid cracks me up!
We ended up staying at Whitney's parents house in Atlanta for the night because I didn't want to get the kids in the car for another two hours to make it to Anderson. They were all ecstatic to see Grammy (whits mom). I don't know how she does it but the kids all just LOVE her.
And sadly I have no pictures :(
The next day we drove to S.C. during naptime which made a very quiet and peaceful drive :). It was so much fun to get to see their home and to spend all that time with them!
Here are the kids attacking Leigh. Poor Leigh. They all love her dearly, but that often meant someone 'hugging' her until she fell over or everyone crowding her to get her attention.
Here is Alden coming to the rescue :)
--- Stay tune for part III ---
