I love to see the Temple

We talk about the temple a lot.
It could have something to do with the fact that it is so easy to see at night. Or that we used to drive by it ALL the time to take Devin to work and school. But recently it has mostly been because of the temple dedication in Brigham City, UT. We didn't have regular church meetings that Sunday, which made Lucy ask a lot of questions. Since she couldn't attend the dedication we decided to go to the Provo Temple that afternoon and walk around.
Temples are such beautiful places and the grounds are always lovely as well.
I think the fountains were the main attraction :)

 Cole wanted to go inside
 Smelling the beautiful flowers

Don't ask me why I didn't get face shots...

It was nice to get to walk around and spend time with the kids at the temple. They always love it and it is such a peaceful place to go on Sunday afternoons.

We had my sister-in-law and her kids in town for 2 1/2 weeks in september (Patrick came for the last week).  It was a BLAST! It stinks that they live so far away but we love that we've gotten to see them so much this year! Lucy and Alden are 'best friends' and Lucy has been so sad that he is gone.
While they were here we got to go up to Salt Lake and see Temple Square. It was beautiful as always, but I thought it was extra special this time because Lucy and Cole got to see the temple where Devin and I were married. Lucy is always asking if we got married in the Provo temple, and I have to tell her the Salt Lake Temple. It was nice to be able to show her where we actually got married.
View of the temple from the roof of the Conference Center.

The four cousins by the reflexion pool. Best picture we could get!

And a close up.
Fun story!
Since we got to see the temple and have talked about it so much lately whenever we drive home at night (and see the Provo Temple all lit up) Lucy will start talking about it. The conversation usually goes like this,
Lucy: "Do you see the Temple??"
Me:  "Yes! Over there on the hill?"
Lucy:  "When I was a growed up I'll get married in the temple with Alden....When Alden was a growed up he will be married in the temple too, like me!"

I love the temple. And that we have so many around us. I love that my children are learning early on to love the temple, and about important things that happen there (like getting married).
Life is wonderful!
