Easter 2014

Some of our best friends, the Pellegrino's, came to visit for easter! It was such a fun weekend! We got to go to the Quad Cities with them and visit the Niabi Zoo, then we went to the John Deere Pavilion. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast!
Everyone getting to feed the goats!

I LOVE this zoo. It has exhibits up close so the little kids can see them. And you rarely have to lift anyone up to see because everything is visible at their level! GENIOUS.
The Lions were roaring! So cool.
And they got up and moved around, also pretty cool since big cats just seem to sleep whenever we are around.

Thankfully zoos are always equipped with animal statues fit for climbing :)

All the kids up in the Combine Harvester!
There were a lot of stairs to get up there!

The flag poles outside were pretty fun to climb on too :)
The next day we dyed our easter eggs. It is always a fun experience with little kids. And doing it outside really minimized the stress of it all.

We had wonderful weather and the kids got to play in the sprinkler and pool one the afternoons!

I have no idea what they are eating, i'm guessing its candy...
We made homemade pizza and had a picnic at the park! It was SO much fun!
I love how Lucy loves to lie down on blankets like this while she eats!

After the park we headed to the house for our easter egg hunt!!
Someone was just a little excited!
The big girls RACED to find the eggs!
Krew and Sadie took their time. They were pretty excited to find each one!

Lucy definitely found the most but she is very sharing so everyone ended up with about the same :)

I don't know if it was bad timing on my part or if Kevin just didn't want his picture taken!
We ate most of the candy that day. Haha!

I love me some candy covered Sadie!!
One of Devin's co-workers who we have dubbed "uncle mike" brought the kids each their own basket FULL of candy. Along with bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. They even brought Devin and I some treats too! They are so kind and thoughtful, and are always bringing us stuff!
These were the best attempts at pictures wearing the ears "uncle mike" gave them!

After the above attempt I was feeling lucky and didn't want to miss a chance to get all of the kids together in their Sunday outfits!

Three out of five is pretty good I'd say! Haha!

We are so happy the Pellegrino's could come visit us! They are some of the best friends we have made and we LOVE having them so close!!!
It's always great company and lots of fun when we're together! Can't wait to do it again soon!!
