Oh boy, is she getting big. When Lucy woke up from her nap today we sat at the computer and watched some videos from the last year of her life. It was funny to see her reaction to the most recent ones. I think she remembered doing the things in the videos. But the ones from last summer and before she seemed a little confused about. It was fun for me to see the differences from then to now, but also how many things about her haven't changed. For instance, she is getting bigger, losing a lot of that baby fat and all her rolls--which I'm sad to see go :(. But the things that stay constant, she's talkative, interactive, always expressive (we always say we never have to guess what Lucy is thinking/feeling...that has always been true) and just plain goofy.
Here are a couple of pictures from the last little while...
Lucy was wanting an apple while Devin and I were getting ready in the morning, so I gave her one and set her on the couch...she's never really just sat there but this morning she sat there long enough for us to get ready! Content to just be eating her apples :)
We frequently go on walks...if it's not absolutely freezing outside. Lucy has loved playing in the snow. She mostly likes to kick it or stomp on it. And then when she remembers she can eat it that is all we do :)
Here is Lucy in her Grandparents toy-room. This is the rocking chair she loves, she'll grab one of the many dolls she adores and climb into the chair and rock them. It's pretty cute, I think she's going to be a great big sister. Oh yeah, and the hat? Not for her, it's one of the dolls hats, but she likes wearing it just the same. We've all decided she looks like Mrs. Nezbit (I don't know how it's spelled). Anyways, its hilarious and I had to get a picture.
VIDEOS both Present and Past:
This video is from this last week. Lucy has come a long way with her dancing....haha....Do any of your kids have such awesome moves??? She's a natural and comes up with these things all on her own. ***I think my favorite part of this video is the face she makes at the end--totally out of nowhere. But that's our little girl for ya!
This video is from last summer...she was still working on crawling...I don't know if I've put it on here before but this is one of the ones we watched today after her nap. I just thought I'd put it on for fun to see the difference. Man they grow so fast!
She is just TOO CUTE! :) I love little kids and their crazy dance skills!
