"Smarty Pants"

Last night we were eating dinner Lucy wanted some of the grapes. But she wasn't asking nicely she was just whining and pointing at them. So I asked her, "Lucy, will you say please?" Right now Lucy doesn't actually say the word 'please' she just signs it by thumping her chest. But this time instead of patting her chest she reached over and patted mine!!! It was hilarious, to say the least. So Oma (Devin's mom) got her two more grapes to eat. While she did that she said to Lucy, "Well, you're just a smarty pants aren't you?" (or something to that effect) to which Lucy responded by pointing to her pants, nodding and saying "di! di!" Which means 'this' 'that' and in this case 'pants!' Hahaha. We all got a good laugh out of that one. Sometimes she blows me away with how much she understands of what we say.
